HARRISON SAKAI
My name is Harrison Sakai and I’m a Japanese American actor based in New York. I recently graduated with my BFA in musical theatre from Nazareth University (formerly Nazareth College). I fell in love with theatre during my freshman year of high school after dipping my toes in just about every other creative endeavor I could. Ever since I was a kid I’ve loved telling stories, and when I found theatre I just happened to find my favorite way of telling them. During my time at Nazareth I was seen as Pippin (Pippin - dir. Christine O'Grady Roberts), Mysterious Man/u.s. The Baker (Into the Woods - dir. Hunter Foster), and Lt. Frank Cioffi (Curtains - dir. Kurt Domoney). Regionally I've had the pleasure of performing at theatres such as The REV Theatre Company, Totem Pole Playhouse, West Virginia Public Theatre, and Crane River Theatre. Off stage you can find me collecting retro video games, writing, and admiring pugs. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope to work with you soon!
